Privacy Policy

Karvo Talent (“Karvo Talent”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Geminisoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in India (CIN: U62013KA2025PTC198713). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website at talent.karvo-ai.in and any services accessed through it.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to candidates who use Karvo Talent to discover jobs, apply to roles, take AI-assisted assessments, prepare for interviews, and manage their career profile.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information received from Google Sign-In. When you sign in with your Google account, Google sends us the following profile information from the openid, email, and profile scopes:
    • your Google account email address,
    • your name (given name and family name where available),
    • your profile picture URL, and
    • a stable Google account identifier (the sub claim) that we use to uniquely link your sign-in to your Karvo Talent account.
    We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, YouTube, or any other Google product. We do not access, store, or transmit any of your Google data beyond what is listed above.
  • Profile information you provide. Your phone number, location, current job title, total experience, current and expected CTC, notice period, skills, LinkedIn/portfolio links, profile summary, education and work history.
  • Application data. Resumes you upload, the jobs you apply to, your answers to screening questions, and any English-assessment or AI-interview recordings you choose to submit.
  • Career Coach conversations. Messages you exchange with Nova, our AI career coach, are stored against your account so the coach can reference earlier check-ins.
  • Technical information. IP address, browser type, device type, and usage events. This is collected for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and analytics.

3. How we use your information

We use your information strictly for the following purposes:

  • To create and authenticate your Karvo Talent account.
  • To show your profile to recruiters using our companion product, Karvo Scout, when you apply to a job listed on Karvo Talent.
  • To match you with relevant job recommendations and improve our matching models.
  • To evaluate your application using AI-assisted tools (Karvo Scout) under recruiter supervision — you are never auto-rejected by AI alone.
  • To send you transactional emails about your applications, assessments, and account.
  • To secure the service against abuse, rate-limit excessive traffic, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data, including information received from Google APIs, to train generalised machine-learning models for unrelated purposes.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

Karvo Talent’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. How we share information

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • With recruiters you apply to. When you submit an application, the recruiter for that role sees the information you chose to share (profile, resume, assessment scores).
  • With service providers. We use trusted infrastructure providers (Google Cloud Platform, Cloudflare R2, Amazon Web Services, Google Gemini AI) to host the service, store files, and run AI features. These providers process data on our behalf under written agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
  • For legal reasons. If required by valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Karvo Talent, our users, or others.

6. Data retention

Account profile information is retained for as long as your account is active. Application data and uploaded documents are retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, so we can consider you for future opportunities. After 24 months, your application materials are permanently deleted from our primary systems. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Data security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for uploaded files, access controls, and infrastructure-level security on our hosting providers. We do not store your Google password — authentication happens entirely on Google’s side.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access & correction. Sign in to view or update your profile and application data at any time.
  • Deletion. Email bhairavas@geminisoft.in to request deletion of your account and associated data. We will action requests within 30 days.
  • Revoking Google access. You can revoke Karvo Talent’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Doing so will sign you out of Karvo Talent.

9. Children

Karvo Talent is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
